| - 6/2016 I can't say enough great things about Flo, the young lady who helped me when I went with my Mom and bridesmaids to look for my dress. She was super positive and happy and really focused on me and what I liked/disliked. She offered suggestions and ideas, and I ended up finding THE dress! The store had a great selection within my price range (which was roughly $1000), Flo did not pressure me at all and only suggested dresses that were in my budget, she truly just wanted to help me find something I loved. I mentioned to her at the end that I had low expectations before going in there since a lot of reviews I read mentioned poor customer service, and she said that they recently started spacing their appointments out more so that each bride had their own specialist to help guide them through the process. I'm so glad they did because it really was a great experience. After I found my dress, we even ventured downstairs and my girls tried on bridesmaids dresses, and my Mom unexpectedly found a very lovely Mother of the Bride dress that she looks great in!
4/2017 I am amending my review because my experience with the alterations department was much different than with the sales department. My first alterations appointment was kind of a train wreck. The alterations lady we had that day barely spoke English and I had a really hard time conveying what I wanted, as well as getting answers to my questions. I kept telling her it was too baggy through the waist, and she kept tightening it at the bust. She also told me that they could use one of my strapless bras and disassemble it, and sew it into the dress since I am large in that area and they don't carry bridal bras my size in store. We went home and the next morning my Mom sent me photos from the fitting appointment, and I was really upset to see what the back actually looked like. Because of her tightening it so much through the bust, I had a huge fat roll hanging over the back of my dress. In a panic, we called and asked to come back in that day, before they started altering the dress. Luckily, were able to get someone else that day who could better communicate with us, and we were able to get the fat roll situation under control. The second lady also told me that sewing the bra in wouldn't be supportive enough for me and that I needed an actual bridal bra, which contradicted what the other lady said. Two weeks later, I had found a bridal bra in my size (at C.C.'s Lingerie...for anyone else who needs a hard-to-find size), and one of my bridesmaids and I went for the next fitting. We had the second lady again. She was kind of rude to us that day and seemed annoyed at every request. When we would point out something, she would get defensive. For example, I had them affix my belt, and when my friend pointed out that it looked crooked, the lady kept blaming the first lady because that was who had pinned it on. I honestly couldn't care whose less fault it was, I just wanted it to be straight. She kept telling me to "take the dress off now" so she could get us out of there, and didn't want to give me time to look it over and make sure that everything was perfect.
The day of the wedding, I definitely wasn't one of those flawless brides that I had hoped to be, because my dress felt somewhat ill-fitting. It kept slipping down and I was constantly tugging at it to keep it pulled up so my bra wouldn't show. I'm fairly confident that when I get the professional photos back, many of them will be ruined by my bra showing.
In summary, if I had to do it again I would still buy my dress there but I would DEFINITELY take it somewhere else for alterations.
