| - This wasn't a bad hotel, but there is so much better for the money in Vegas.
First of all, they make you pay for parking. Seriously? In Vegas? And the parking lot is poorly designed and makes you dizzy as you wind the tight circles down from your spot on the fourth floor or higher if you decided to self-park.
Secondly, there aren't really a lot of amenities. Yes, there's a pool, but there's no real restaurant or bar on the property, and there's no casino. This all would be fine - kind of an escape from the hustle and bustle of being out on the Strip - except that this Hilton is located on the North end, not really near anything. It's technically feasible to walk to either Circus Circus or the new SLS hotel, but there aren't any pedestrian bridges or easy access like they have further South.
I will give the place props for providing microwaves and mini-fridges, though, in each room. That's not common to find in Vegas, and given the gluttony of the meals there, being able to bring leftovers back to your hotel room is nice. But still, that's probably not enough for me to want to stay here again.
