I just moved to this area after selling my house in Centennial Hills. I love the Lowe's out there. The staff are consistently, friendly and helpful. I went to this Lowe's for the first time this past Saturday. I was checked out by Lateshia. She seemed unfriendly and sullen. I thought she was just having a bad day or perhaps people were being rude to her. Sometimes, when people get in a hurry around Christmas, they aren't always nice to retail staff. Anyway, I gave her behavior a pass and didn't think anything further of it.
Then I went back today. She was having a difficult time getting my items to scan. She was finally able to do so. I asked about entering my phone number. She got annoyed and told me it was too late, that I just wouldn't be able to do it today. I pointed out that most times, the cashier asks for my number before getting to the point of it being "too late." She became angry and said she was too busy trying to get my items to scan. She then called the person behind me to come to the register right next to mine. She turned her back and began helping that customer. I went ahead and signed the pad for the purchase and waited for my receipt to print which I helped myself to, since she was at the other register.
I think I'll have to rethink shopping at Home Depot, or at least find a Lowe's with decent cashiers.
