| - We've been coming to this restaurant for almost 35 years. We made a reservation for Mother's Day today and paid a premium for the food because they had dinner prices all day (not sure why?). The food was great, as usual, but we were with a large party and they made a mistake with our tickets. We didn't make a big deal about it, just asked for a new ticket with the correct entrees so we knew what we were paying for (there were no descriptions by the amounts). The cashier and waitress stated we should be able to "figure it out" based on our existing amounts and that they were "too busy" to draft a new ticket. Yes, that's what they actually said out loud.
I respectfully, but assertively, advised the server and cashier it is not my responsibility to surmise my correct bill from the info provided. They acknowledged the error, but I'm not going to pay for food we didn't order At that point, 3 different women started YELLING, yes yelling, at my husband in front of the restaurant...in front of everyone...on Mother's Day. They eventually did rewrite the tickets, but they were still incorrect; most likely because they were so focused on yelling and being defensive than listening to what needed to be corrected. Bottom line: we never got an accurate ticket, just paid what was there and finally left. It's a shame, as I said we've been loyal patrons of this business for almost 35 years, but I've never witnessed such lack of service, aggression, and egregious treatment of any customer in my life. Thanks Shangri-La, for making my Mother's Day memorable for all of the wrong reasons.
