I enjoyed my experience on the Goodtime III but just could not give it four stars. The crew was friendly and the views of the city are gorgeous. But I'm not sure I will rush to go back for the following reasons.
It was frustrating to have to wait for a bunch of people to board who bought their tickets after the departure time. I get that they want to get as many customers on that boat, but it was 90 degrees and there was no breeze until we got moving.
Bathrooms - they could use a little renovation.
The guided tour - I appreciated the recording because it was much easier to hear and understand, but the information has not been updated.
What I did enjoy was the slow ride on the river through the flats. There was some gorgeous views of downtown and you got to see some of the bridges from unique angles. If you enjoy photography, it's definitely worth checking out.
Definitely check out the top deck once you pass the break wall because the breeze is amazing and the views are better.
They had drinks and some snacks available to purchase. All I got was water, but it wasn't unreasonable ($2 per aquafina bottle). They didn't do any bag checks so you could bring your own drinks and food as well.
It is a nice thing to do on a beautiful summer day if you want to do something outside on the water. I would consider bringing family or out of town guests provided the weather was accommodating. I don't know if I would suggest this on a super hot day - it wasn't much cooler on the water than on land!
