  • You would know that an asian restaurant is great if mostly all of the customers are asian! =] Makino's is the place my family from out of town goes to celebrate birthdays since it is a bit more special than the average buffet. They have a massive sushi selection including sashimi (which is unlikely for buffets to have) and a cook creating hand rolls of your choice. Next, they have a variety of salads and then seafood, including crab legs and baked shrimp. Down the line they also have steak, bbq ribs and a few more selections. One of my favorites at this restaurant is the soup. They have a friendly cook making your choice of soup and mine, the shoyu, was ready in a few minutes. There is also shomai and potstickers which were both delicious as well. For dessert, there is a whole lot of choices such as green tea ice cream, creme brûlée, coffee jello, cookies, marshmallows, puff pastries and a chocolate fondue fountain. Overall, I give this place four stars. Great food. Great service. Plus theres a huge purple octopus hanging from the ceiling of the restaurant that my boyfriend finds quite amusing =]]
