| - Finally, a dog sanctuary in downtown CLE! The park is located behind Settlers Landing Station along West 10th, almost directly below the Detroit-Superior Bridge, overlooking the river. Nearby, there is a multipurpose trail, so you can go for a walk/bike ride with your dog before or after. I've only ever walked here, so I'm not 100% sure about all of the parking options, but I do know that there is street parking on West 10th.
The dog park ground is composed of gravel. Fences are standard height (I'm guessing here, but probably around 4 1/2 to 5 feet). There is a double gate when you arrive, so you have the opportunity to unleash/leash your dog without the chance for escape or other excited dogs bombarding your entrance. They have a small dog ramp in the middle of the park and 4 small benches for the humans to rest on. They store dog waste bags here, but I am always sure to bring a few extra, just in case they are out of stock.
While it is not the biggest dog park I have ever been to, it is enough space for my dog (lab mix) to chase a ball and get a good bit of exercise in. And it is a super convenient park for anyone who lives in or near downtown. Your dog will definitely be giving you extra kisses and hugs after you visit here! :)
