  • Ok, I will be the first to admit that eating anywhere that is remotely healthy is a major turn off for me. I even had one of my Yelp friends comment on my check in thinking it was a joke. Of course I wanted to appease my wife because she wanted seared ahi which is something that I like so at least that was a positive. Located just right off the south side of the 215 and Decatur exit in the same plaza as TSP Baking Company. When we arrived I was pleasantly surprised at some of the choices they had for it were things that appealed to me. Things like an angus burger, bbq chicken pizza, and heck even filet mignon. Wifey recommended I try the bison burger for it would taste just like some of my favorite burgers from other places. Ever since she had it about 15 years ago, it has been one of her favorite types of meat. So I order the Bison Burger with Tofu Fries, wifey got the Seared Ahi Tostada Bites, first son got the California Grilled Chicken sandwich, and youngest son got the build your own Filet Mignon accompanied with Asparagus. The Bison Burger ($12.99) is a half pound patty topped with your choice of lowfat cheese (I got cheddar), lettuce, tomatoes, and onion. The Tofu Fries are wonderfully crispy fried and it comes with a tangy Russian dressing to dip in. The Mini Ahi Tostada Bites ($9.99) are mini tortilla crisps with an edamame bean puree, wheatgrass slaw, sweet chili sauce, and seared ahi tuna. Kind of has a sweet and salty taste to it. Nice combination with the crunch as you chew. The California Grilled Chicken Sandwich ($10.99) has turkey bacon, lettuce, onion, tomato and extra virgin mayo. It was just ok. I think it could use more spices sauce wise. The build your own Filet Mignon ($16.99) comes with asparagus. The steak itself was just ok. My son wanted it medium rare but got it well done. He didnt want to wait for another one so he just ate it and said it was still kind of decent. Comes with some kind of balsamic dressing to dip it in. The asparagus was cooked perfect. It was lightly pan fried in olive oil and topped with a bit of garlic salt. Still had a nice crisp it. Service was on point. You order at the counter and then they bring it out to you. As they bring out people's orders, they go around asking if everybody is ok while cleaning up any tables that need it. Very efficient. Overall, I am definitely a fan. Please dont tell anybody though, it would ruin my rep. Lets just keep it to ourselves ok? I would go as much as to say that trying the Bison Burger was the closest thing to a life changing event next to getting married, having kids, etc. I guess this health thing is not so bad after all.
