| - We can easily make a simple problem a complicated one, if we approach the situation with too high expectations, as in the case with the Radio Shack at Tower Plaza...don't expect too much.
Most of the employees ARE in high school and probably their first job, but they most likely speak two languages, too, a plus in this area. When we go to RS, one most likely expects a certain level of success in finding a solution to an electronic issue. I knew I'd find the right battery here, and I did within seconds and with the assistance of the young man who welcomed me as I entered.
The extraordinary experience I had was when I returned two days later to return them, because the two little watch batteries didn't fix the problem (another story). So, the young lady at the counter, who also greeted me as I entered the store, let me know about the "expected" policy of "no battery return", but took my advice and checked them out to see if they were good, and I wasn't returning junk batteries, and working a scam...I "expected" this reaction, and I was not offended in the least.
It took TWO battery testers to prove the little guys were good (bringing them back two days after purchase and in their original packaging helped), and after reminding me of their "no battery return" policy, she credited my $12 and change vack to my card...Are you serious?!
Thank you, Radio Shack for hiring real people, and young people who still see the good in people...I appreciate that!
