  • Had transmission rebuilt and given 12 month warranty, of course it went out about 13 months later. I am not a mechanic, but in retrospect (now that I have a remanufactured transmission) the work Sun Auto completed was obviously sub par. No comparison between the transmission I have now (36 month warranty) and the shoddy work from Sun Auto. Transmission now much smoother and obviously better. Indeed I should have taken it back months ago to Sun Auto, but you would also think they are the experts and would not have completed such horrible work. I know better now. Crazy thing is I only spent $500 more for the better transmission and much longer warranty somewhere else - in the middle of nowhere New Mexico is where because that is where our truck broke down.
