| - It's a rare occurrence for me to review a casino. I am a born and raised Vegas native, really, what does one overpriced, smoky casino have different from the next one? The Cosmo answers that question, and then leaves you wondering what you just experienced. From the poolside movies, the suites with balconies, the endless food options, and the weird and corky décor throughout, it really takes you off the typical Vegas strip, and into a place, almost magical.
I am not exactly sure how this casino is not as smoky as the rest, but I love it. I can actually play slots here without smoke burrowing in my face. Major plus for us non-smokers!
This place is beyond modern or contemporary. There is a secret restaurant, (technically two if you know anything about Jose Andres) and pink chandeliers and classy martinis that will cost you $18 easy.
But then they also welcome families with ice skating in the winter.
You could come here for pleasure, dinner, a vacation, a business venture, a wedding, the pool, a party. Really, how about you tell me what they don't offer!
Sure, the prices are up there, but it is for a reason! If you have a bad experience, let someone know, and they will correct it.
Not a HUGE fan of STK, simply because I can give love to any restaurant who caters to prostitution. Yes, hookers need love too. But when I dine there on my date night, I want the same service the hookers who spend thousands get. Is it worth ducking a star over one guy's restaurant, NAAA! Just give everyone the same love, especially people like me who love good food and tip well.
The Cosmo gets local love as far as I am concerned. Even if it's simply to people watch- it's a blast every time!
