| - I checked out the Toronto festival of beer 2014 on the Saturday and it was fun. There were so many beer tents of various brews. My favorite Delirium Tremens was even there. To start you get a 8oz beer mug and 5 tokens where 1 token will fill your mug 4 ounces for most brews, the special brews cost either 2 to 3 tokens for 4 ounces. You can also buy additional tokens for $1 each, which I recommend doing once you get in before the line up gets crazy. The event runs from 1:30pm-8:00pm so it's worth going early to get the most of the event. I pretty much drank moderately for 5 and a half hours, trying various beers, enjoying the sun and the bands/dj's with some friends. Although admission is $40, it was an enjoyable time and the crowd was in a good drinking mood. There were also food samples during the cooking lessons which involves cooking food using beer such as bbq beer can chicken, cheeses marinated with beer and smoked steak. The food trucks were also there, such as Hot Bunzz and Rock Lobster :-)
Things that I would like more would be to have it go later because the time went by quickly, a better way to organize the token line and bands that I liked better (might be asking for too much)
There are cool places to chill at this event, like the Moosehead tent (Rock music), Bandshell stage (rock music) the Corona area (electronic music) and the Coors Light area (rock and electronic music).
This was event great, I tried so many beers!
