Unfortunately, my experience in trying to provide a cat with a good home was discouraged by a member of the Princeton's Meow shelter. I have never been treated so oddly. It was not the entire staff, but just one older lady with short brown curly hair that was very rude and denied a cat a good home. If you choose to visit this shelter be aware of this crazy cat lady. The Shelter is very crowded and could be better organized and cleaned, but the cats did seem very well fed. Although, this lady was annoying as she drilled me of my incapability to take care of a cat. I thought to myself that I have successfully raised three great kids and our family loves animals ...I think I can handle taking care of a cat. Well thanks to this rude lady, I moved on to find a great rescue foster home and adopted Marley.
Marley now has a great home and is much loved...she was the one anyway. I just wonder how many cats could experience the same great love, yet loving people get turned away.
