  • I love Ross J's! I'm always down for Hawaiian food because they always give good portions on protein, and I'm not a small guy so I need my sustenance. Ross J's is a bit of a drive for me, but it's worth it because the food is pretty good. I've gotten their chicken katsu and Ross J's mix plate. The chicken katsu comes out warm and tender. It's very hard to go wrong with chicken katsu, and Ross J delivers on good chicken katsu. The mix plate is contains teriyaki chicken, chicken steak, and mahi (fish). The chicken steak in the mix plate is battered and fried, and you may want to hold the teriyaki sauce if you're watching the sodium because it's a big plate. The rice in the mix plate is seasoned with seaweed, which adds a nice texture to the plate. There's not wait staff so you have to get water yourself, but I'm not complaining since with the big portions, I need to be getting out of my seat every now and then to burn some calories. I recommend Ross J's for anyone looking for some good, reasonably-priced Hawaiian food. It's worth the drive even if you're 5 miles away.
