| - I have been to other David's before for friend's weddings, and have never had any problems/issues/complaints with service.
Short summary of experience: waited 20 minutes, wasn't assigned any dressing rooms, ignored almost the whole appointment, rude consultant! she demanded we get sized when we just wanted to try on samples! We would have been better off walking in and looking without an appointment.
I made a noon appointment for my bridesmaids to try on dresses. We showed up pretty much exactly on time, at most 5 minutes late, as a previous appointment at another store ran late. I checked in, and waited almost 15 minutes before being assigned a consultant. I was okay with this as it seemed busy, and we weren't early, so that was fine.
Our consultant brought our large group, about 10 of us, over to the jewelry section (no chairs or rooms assigned yet) and had us fill out all our names and addresses, and walked away for about 10 minutes because she was helping another bride. She mentioned that every girl would be sized before trying on dresses. That was odd to me because it takes a lot of time.
She came back after 10 minutes of waiting and said that only I could go pick out a few dresses with her and bring them back to my 5 bridesmaids. I asked if my maid of honor could come pick out some dresses, too. Our dress picking seemed quite rushed, but I had looked online previously so I knew somewhat their selections.
The dresses were brought to us in our corner and we were told to look at them, and that she would size every girl after she came back. After 10 minutes of waiting, we decided to find our own dressing rooms and start trying them on. The consultant brought all size 22s, and the girls were swimming in the dresses, so I went and grabbed closer sizes. About 15 minutes later (25 minutes of abandonment), she came storming back and DEMANDED that she size every girl right then and there because the sizes the girls were trying on were all wrong, and "you are confused because you aren't wearing the right sizes!" I asked that the girls not be sized because we didn't want to spend the time unless we found a dress we liked. AGAIN, she DEMANDED that she size the girls! I firmly said "no thanks" and she walked away without saying anything!
She came back again after the girls were getting dressed and said she would put the dress we liked on our list.
