Giving 2 stars with mixed feelings. If I was only rating the reception and waiting room staff it would be 5 stars... but the staff beyond those doors leaves much to be desired.
For starters, I was displeased at being told I had to go to this location across town instead of the one on Gibson just a few blocks from my home. Yet, I was pleased to find the staff in the lobby and both waiting rooms (at Siena) are kind, accommodating and efficient.
However, two main issues I had beyond this, is first no one told me in advance that my procedure required an IV with contrasting solution. I have great difficulty with IV's due to small veins so I need to hydrate significantly to ensure my veins are accessible.
The second issue was the techs handling my MRI were minimally compassionate when attempting to insert IV - despite my telling them of my vein problems. Especially the male tech, that was called in after an initial IV attempt failed, by a female tech. He was all business and had no empathy despite the fact I yelped out loud when he forced the needle into my hand and when I visibly wept several minutes afterwards from the pain he caused me, he did not even apologize or show any concern except with getting his procedure done. (The female tech did at least apologize for hurting me.) Bottom line, both seemed more concerned with moving things along than with the pain I was caused during the process.
This is the first time I have ever been shown such dispassion from any medical provider. For this reason I will never go back to Steinberg, nor recommend it to anyone that I care about.
