| - Even one star is is probably too much for these guys. The tragedy is that this facility used to house an excellent car wash, where your vehicle was washed by hand. The service was quick, excellent and fairly priced. Sadly, the facility was sold to Cobblestone, and it's been all down hill since. First they got rid of the hand wash and put in automated brushes like you would see at any ten-dollar car wash. Then they jacked the prices and sent service down the toilet. They installed an express wash in addition to the traditional washes and, unbelievably, set up the system so that any customer who wants an express wash automatically goes to the head of the line. If you are, say, fourth in line for a regular wash, as I was today, and thirty cars come into the express lane before your car hits the front of the regular line, all those thirty cars will go through ahead of you. I had been out on the highway and had a lot of bugs on my car, but when my car FINALLY got to the wash entrance, they didn't pre-treat it as any intelligent car wash would do, they simply ran it through the wash. When the car was being "dried," an attendant noticed that the front of the car was still covered with bugs and so he simply got a bucket of soapy water, rubbed at some of the bugs, then wiped it off, without rinsing it and leaving many of the bugs in place. It was all hugely frustrating and I would have been much better off simply vacuuming the car at home and then running it through an automated car wash myself. I also would have saved fifteen bucks. Won't be going back. Sad to see what once was an excellent operation run into the ground like this.
