  • This review is soley about the grooming result we recently experienced for our Bouvier who has been groomed there 6 times over the past 2 years. The last 2 visits have resulted in a beautiful looking dog who comes home and suffers for a week with severe scratching and red patches throughout his body. These severe scratching episodes have only occurred when our boy is groomed here at Applewood. The shaving that was done was way too aggressive with chest & anal areas showing almost bare skin. Bright pink areas with pinpoint blood spots keep my dog pacing and panting throughout the day and night. While waiting to pick him up we waited outside where you can view the groomers working inside. All I can say is that the groomer I had the appointment with, was not the person(s) working on our dog as we stood and watched from the outside of the facility. I don't know if the shampoo is too harsh or if the dryers are too hot? This stressful condition has only happened the last 2 groomings. Needless to say we won't be going back. I'm heartbroken my Bouv is suffering so much.
