I had my machine serviced ($79.99 + $45.00 labor) on 10/11/2011. I was told I had 90 day warranty. I brought my machine home ad it worked better than before, but still sounded like it was struggling. I finished my small project (I still had stitches that were inconsistent but after spending $124.99 I figured it must be a quirk of my machine) and put my machine away. I started another project, so out came my machine. It was horrible. It had BIG loops in the bottom thread and skipped stitches and sounded like it was really struggling. I decided to take matters into my own hands. I found my original manual (this machine was a gift in 1976!) and felt confident I could oil the machine as described. When I took the top cover plate off I was shocked. If anyone at Mulqueen had serviced my machine they should be FIRED! There was so much dark brown grease in the mechanics of the machine it felt gritty. This was not new grease! Nothing had been oiled either. If you have your machine serviced here, take it back immediately if it doesn't run like a dream...because after an hour of cleaning thoroughly, mine does...now. My mistake no doubt, that I didn't return it and ask them to service it again, because they certainly did not the first time. My father-in-law always serviced my machine so I was heading out blind when I was looking for a sewing machine repair business. I do not recommend them. I wish I could post pictures! there was also a lot of dust and thread where it should not have been. If anyone at Mulqueen had actually took it out of the case and opened it up they would have seen this. I don't think they ever did.
