  • Classy, but relaxed atmosphere? Yep. Beautiful views? True. Delicious food? Without a doubt! Portions? Perfect for us. Expensive? Duh. Worth it? You bet - every last cent! My man and I never go out to fancy dining restaurants. Heck, we rarely go out to eat, period (we're fantastic cooks, and I'm picky). But, we were back in good ole' Vegas for a wedding and decided to treat ourselves to brunch after we'd been dying to know what Giada's has to offer. Man, we were NOT disappointed in the least. The first thing that caught our attention was the classy, elegant, yet very "homey" look and vibe of the joint. Giada did a really great job with creating that welcome sense of environment, yet still adding that special splash of classiness. We arrived early and had cocktails at the bar (hello our new fave whiskey drink, Serpico - and I'm not even a whiskey girl - and the delicious White Peach Bellini and Prosecco) while the friendly hostess prepared our table a half hour early for us. Every employee we encountered and talked to was super friendly and provided superb customer service. Now, down to the food.... We ordered the Tasting Board, which comes with different cheeses (OMG, the parmigiano reggiano! YUM!), olives, a honeycomb, some salumi (or prosciutto di parma), and a veggie mixture (can't remember the name). We also ordered the arugula salad (but swapped the crispy pancetta for the fried capers...again, YUM), the Caprese Egg White Fritata, and the Salumi Pizza. The portion sizes were absolutely perfect for us, and the food.....OUT OF BOUNDS! I seriously couldn't believe how good just an arugula salad can be. The pizza dough was by far one of the best tasting doughs I've ever had - light and airy, yet had that wood fired char throughout. The fresh mozzarella on both the pizza and my fritata was so, so, so DELICIOUS - there's nothing better than watching the gooey cheese pull away for miles! We topped off our meal with the cookie platter: PB&J, Chocolate Chunk (the ooey, gooey melted chocolate that resembled the perfectly melted gooey cheese), and the Lemon Ricotta, which, ok, let's get real....that Lemon Ricotta cookie is like crack (sorry, no other way to put it!). We had such an amazing, memorable experience! If there was a con to this place (besides the damage it does to your wallet) would be the service was rather slow on a slow day. We honestly didn't mind, though, because I feel that is done on purpose to allow folks to talk and feel like they're in an intimate setting without feeling pressured by a wait staff that can sometimes have that used car salesman vibe. I highly recommend (just save up for 6 months before going)!
