  • We really enjoyed eating here. I have heard of this restaurant for years and never come until yesterday. I had heard it can take a while time get seated because it's popular. We were seated right away. The restaurant is big and has plenty of seating so I imagine the special occasions and maybe evenings would be the only time you'd have to actually wait to be seated. We came at lunch time on a Saturday and it was fine. Our waiter was super nice and explained things. He didn't ask us how the food was with our mouths full of food. They give you like a loaf of bread and butter to get things started lol. I got the pasta Mardi gras and my gf got the shrimp and grits - both were lunch specials. The total was about 42 bucks prior to tip. We didn't get anything but water to drink. So that gives you an idea how much it costs to eat here. As far as the food goes I liked both of our meals. I've never really cared for grits but they make theirs different. It has all sorts of flavor mixed in. Portions were good. We had some of the praline cheesecake as well - to go, because I was stuffed but the dessert looked legit. It was comped by the manager because it was our first time here :) I'm not sure if I'm to share that, but it was totally a surprise and made a good experience even better. The sauce on the cheesecake had a rum flavor to it and it was awesome. It would have been about 7 bucks for a big slice. The restaurant itself is cool. I wouldn't say it's super fancy like Flemings where you'll feel weird wearing jeans. So you can come causal or dressed up and you'll be good. We'll definitely come back to try some more of the food. We were spying on other people's food and it all looked good.
