  • There are so many things that make this a bad theater so I guess let's start at the top... I emailed the district manager (Jason Foster) for B&B theaters about this Gateway 12 IMAX theater with a list of complaints/issues and a couple suggestions and gave him a couple ways to contact me back and it has been six days now with no sign of care from this company. I've emailed other companies with complaints in the past such as Harkins and they've always been professional enough to promptly get back to me with a professional response but not B&B theaters. As at least one other reviewer has stated there is some temperature issues in the theaters and having been to this theater many times I can say for certain that they can't figure out that sweet spot temperature... it's either too hot or too cold in the theater. On my last visit to see Jurassic World in IMAX (a $17.50 movie ticket mind you) it was freezing in the theater... on that same visit they were also sold out of several food items (Steve another reviewer mentioned this - no relation) and had been sold out of those food items for longer than a full business day. I've also noticed that several of the theaters have acoustics issues such as poor surround sound in loud situations where metal on metal rattles in places and is loud enough to stick out during the movie experience. Even things down to the actual 3D glasses they give you have issues... scrapes/scratches and poor cleaning are seen. The chairs in multiple different theaters are torn/flattened/uncomfortable/way past their lifetime and should be replaced. The in-between movies cleaning seems acceptable but it's pretty obvious the theater rooms never actually get cleaned on a more serious level besides sweeping up popcorn and spilt soda. Those theater rooms all need to be scrubbed down to their core because months-years of neglect on cleaning them properly has occurred. Everything about this movie experience needs to be improved or their prices need to fall down to dollar theater range because that's the kind of quality that this B&B theater displays. Going past the types of issues you'll find inside of the actual movie theater/screens... you'll find there are many other alarming issues lurking in the lobby and surrounding areas. The elevators have issues, there's poor quality on hearing impaired help, the bathrooms are in dire need of repair and revamp, the security cameras I have been told don't work properly or that more than one of them doesn't work, several of the employees display a demeanor of not caring (I didn't say all of them), food items such as toppings aren't properly stocked, poor management, poor corporate help for both the business and customer/public relations, whole business cleaning quality is very low, food construction quality is low (popcorn not tasting quite right - soda not having the correct carbonation... things of that nature), customers/possibly off the clock employees using e-cigarettes/handheld vaporizers in the lobby near others (a big personal complaint) and poor overall movie experience compared to other theaters in the same price range. You be the judge.
