| - A year and a half ago, my shih-zu mix, Emmett, had an indolent ulcer. After two unsuccessful debrides, I had to take him to ECFA to have a grid keratotomy done. It was then that I met Dr. Felchle. Although I agree that the price of procedures and their being the only doggie eye doctor in the proximity, I had to look at the services provided and what they did for my dog. Thankfully, all my questions were answered, the surgery went well, and in three weeks, my family member was pain free! The kindness that was shown to myself and Emmett was worth every penny.
Going forward, Emmett is back to ECFA. Another indolent ulcer on the other eye. Dr. Felchle was gone for the week. I could have driven to Tucson or Scottsdale, but since I trust Dr. Felchle, I wanted to wait. They got me in for the consult a little later than I liked, but Emmett was scheduled for surgery within a day! As I write this review, I am waiting to take Emmett back for his return check up. As before, the same kindness was shown. And, again, although expensive, nothing is too good for my baby. He was in such misery prior to the surgeries, it broke my heart.
In conclusion, I would like to say that my husband and I are not wealthy. There is never a good time to have an expense like this. But to me, the kindness and expertise of the doctor was well worth the value I place on Emmett.
