| - Came here for dinner just before attending a concert at the Mandalay Beach, and it was a pretty disappointing dinner. We had made a reservation ahead of time knowing it would be busy given Memorial day and of course the concert, but alas we still had to wait over 20 mins to be seated... I was so HANGRY!
The hostess' up front were very scattered and overall the restaurant just seemed poorly run. Our server, however, was very friendly and had great customer service...told us the kitchen was backed-up and apologized by getting us little corn tamales. We ordered a gaucamole and chips, and the guac was very good. Their chips and salsa are also quite good.
Food was otherwise very subpar, but I believe this is secondary to how busy and chaotic the restaurant was. I've heard their brunch is fantastic, so maybe I'll try that next time, but the dinner was very mediocre. I had an order of the fish tacos, and they literally killed the fish - overcooked, dry and flavorless. Same thing with the green rice, which was so dry I kept taking gulps of water in between bites. I couldn't even save the rice with salsa/guac.
Would definitely not come back for dinner....Strip prices and bad food? no thanks! But like I said, the brunch looks amazinggggg...
