  • This specialty pharmacy has a kind staff, outstanding service, and great prices. I spoke with three staff members while getting meds for IVF, they called immediately to try and put some meds through my insurance if possible, and to ask if I was in the savings programs. Later she returned my call with a cost, and delivery plan. Excellent Service. If you are wanting reduced IVF medication prices, Avella takes part in a couple of programs others in the area do not. First, sign up for Design RX before you need the meds which reduces the IVF meds by a bit. Second, Avella used another plan, First Steps to reduce some others by 5% or so. If you are a Veteran, check out Fertility Lifelines and their Compassionate Care (automatic 25% discount, up to 75% discount) and Compassionate Corps (service connected injury affecting fertility - 100% free EMD Serono meds, you pay about 1K out of pocket for remaining meds). But you need to apply to these programs right after the consult with doc, do your research a bit early so you get all the discounts you deserve. Avella's pharmacist took the time to sit down with me and go through the entire contents of the bag, and explained the self injections. Todd was extremely kind and knowledgeable. The med bag contained everything I would need without even asking: a home sharps container, alcohol wipes, needles, and meds. Best pharmacy service I have ever received.
