  • One of the best things I can say about our experience on this Saturday night was that our wait was less than ten minutes at a restaurant that does not accept reservations or offer phone-ahead seating. I have waited forty minutes here in the past. The food is delicious although the fried zucchini is not as good as some of our other favorite places. The bowl of wedding soup that is included with pasta entrees as one of the side dish choices is mammoth and delicious, filled with meatballs, chicken, and egg. It could be a meal. It compensates for entrees that are priced in the high teens. No one is particularly friendly or engaging here. Our server was efficient, but she rushed us. The courses were delivered fast and the entrees arrived before we could both finish our soup or put much of a dent in our zucchini. There was no quality check and we were not asked if we wanted any of the desserts which are restaurant specialties. The immediate presentation of the courses was something I would expect at a diner, not a fine full-service restaurant where one is enjoying a Saturday night meal for which the tariff for two will be in excess of $50. When I am spending that much money, I expect cloth napkins, not Armstrong's paper napkins. We like it here but we are going to be more inclined to dine at Atria's Peters Township and Franco's Trattorias, where not only is delicious food offered, but where the owners and servers roll out the red carpet for us.
