| - Re Threads brings the West Towne mall to you....and urban outfitters, which is right down the street. Re Threads works by buying clothes from Madisonians for 33% of what they plan to sell the item for in cash, or 50% in store credit. Therefore, what you see people wearing around State St. is what you will find at Re Threads. Though Re Threads does carry quite a bit of vintage items, most of the clothes is from Urban, the Gap, Forever 21, Old Navy, etc. You may find a sprinkling of higher end designer stuff from people who shop at Bop, but this stuff is in the minority.
The prices at Re Threads are not cheap, but definitely cheaper than buying the stuff new, and most things are still in good condition. For example, a pair of Target jeans were priced at $9, a Gap v-neck sweater for $11, and a Forever 21 blouse that probably retailed for $15 was $10.
Overall, it's nice to have a place on State St. where I can sell clothes and make a little cash. Also, the business model guarantees that merchandise is always changing, so it's worth checking out once in awhile.
