| - Checked out Kawa Sunday morning after my gym session. I wanted to sit and enjoy a coffee solo, and had read great reviews about Kawa.
I ordered the clover coffee (thanks Wendy!) and the cheese bun. The guy who took my order was nice enough - didnt rush me or make me feel stupid when I asked for a 'small' clover coffee and he explained to be that its a one-size deal. Anyway, they then served my clover coffee in those 'french press' containers, which was a pleasant surprise, and gave a warm cup on the side. I loved the warm cup. No one does that anymore, anywhere I go! Such amazing attention to detail - it really elevated the coffee experience for me. When I tried the clover coffee, I wanted to tell the world - it was DELICIOUS. Some of the best coffee I have ever tried, seriously. Just add some cream, and you're good to go! No sugar needed! It tasted amazing even without cream! The 'french press' thingy easily had 2 cups of coffee in it. I drank it up like it was going out of style. Mmm mm mmm!!
The cheese bun was good too, but was outshined by the coffee.
As for the establishment itself, it was a nice contemporary decor. It was almost packed. The energy in the cafe though, left something to be desired. Maybe it was because it was a lazy Sunday morning, but people were not happily chattering away like they usually do in a coffeehouse. Not the bustling energy I would expect. It was almost kind of low-key, but not.
Anyway, I am definitely going back with friends. The clover coffee is calling my name, I can hear it.
