| - I was pleasantly surprised by this place and would definitely recommend it. First off, they offer 1 hour massages for $29.99. That's a steal. They're also open until midnight. Say what?! That's like fairytale-talk back where I live. Anyways, upon walking in, it looked a bit sketchy at first because it was dimly lit with typical Asian instrumental music in the background... but to my surprise, the place was pretty legit and they did a decent job.
Boyfriend and I were brought back to a room and we were able to be side by side which was cool. We didn't really get any instruction except for the lady telling him to take off his shirt then walked away. Most places give you some guidance and we didn't really know what to expect because the chairs were upright and the ladies came in with tubs for our feet. We immediately assumed we got it all wrong and were getting reflexology massages, but two ladies came in with a tub of warm water to soak our feet then they started with some head massages.
The massage itself was good. They focused a lot on the head with ample pressure, which I loved. Again, I was pretty confused because they were doing all this fully-clothed, so I was wondering how they would proceed since the lady started on my shoulders and massaging under my tank top. Who wants all that massage oil/lotion on your clothes?!? Not I, so that was a little irritating. After that, the foot massage was ok. Half-way through, the lady only then told me to take my top off. So, here I was fumbling mid-way-massage to get my bra off in the dark with someone hovering over me which ruined the zen experience for a bit. She then started on my back and everything got better after that. I was even surprised by the fact that they used hot stones. That was a first for me and it felt amazing! I definitely enjoyed that and it made up for the lack of communication beforehand.
In all, for the price - you can't beat it. My only gripe was the lack of instruction beforehand and that the 2 women who were massaging us side-by-side kept conversing and whispering throughout the whole massage. I couldn't understand them, but it's really rude and unprofessional to be carrying on a conversation when you're with clients, especially if you're not speaking directly to the client. This wasn't a nail or hair salon and things like that are important to me, so it killed the zen vibe I was going for.
