They shouldn't call themselves a "resort" as it's not so this place isn't for those looking for a "resort" of the Vegas Strip level but rather those looking for a more out doors-y mountain cabin feel. It has pond in front that ducks have made a home at. The inside first floor feels like a large cabin living room and has a tv area, a sitting area by a fireplace and an area with a couple small couches and board games and books. It also has a little bar and a restaurant and a couple of old video games and air hockey. I think every room has a view. It's not brand new but the rooms seem upgraded and newer furniture in the ones we've stayed in.
We come up to Mt Charleston a couple of times a month as a mini get away from Las Vegas. There is only this hotel and the log cabins up here (other than camping/RVing) and both are nice depending on what you're looking for.
