  • Update: Dave asserts we wanted him to move our work ahead of other customers. While that might have been nice (for us) we never asked for that. All we asked for was an update. What we got was lectured for bothering him. We had to wait to bring our car into him by appointment. When leaving our vehicle with him we had to sign a document (a copy of which was not tendered) agreeing to the cost of diagnostics and that we'd be contacted with an estimate by 5:30pm the following day. That never happened. We did have a speculative conversation about what the repair and costs might be; but the fact remains after half a week of waiting, Dave turned us away for having the temerity to TWICE ask for an update. He never did the work he insisted we sign an agreement he would do: diagnose the problem within TWO days and tell us what the work was going to cost. Dave demonstrated little tolerance for polite customer interaction. There is no crime in that but his dithering was disrespectful of this customer's time. If you have time to spare and no need to know what to expect, then Dave is your guy. I'm even willing to bet he does good work (when he does work); but that is not the work ethic of a reliable professional; and who doesn't need reliable transportation? Fortunately in talking with our 4Runner buddies we found a shop just around the corner from Dave that got right after the problem. Within half an hour of pulling into this shop (and at no cost) we had a diagnoses and a plan. We should get the Vehicle back today and will leave a review for this shop as well.
