  • This store is a Montreal institution, been existing since the late 70's. Featuring the clothes of local couturier Georges Lévesque, Scandale features beautiful, high-quality, highly original fashions- and even art and furniture sometimes. The dresses and clothes tend to be on the pricey side, but their quality is unparalled: I have an amazing George Lévesque dress that I wore for years and even today, the construction and beauty of the dress still amazes me. Be ready to spend, but rest assured these clothes will LAST. Owner Marie-Josée has an unparalleled flair and eye and the magic of this place is that it transcend trends and fashions: the dresses will appeal to very young women as well as older ladies, because they have that unmistakable, bohemian, artistic touch. Notorious clients of the store include Carole Laure, Anne Parillaud and many French, American and Québécois celebrities. The Scandale woman is a total artiste at heart, a free spirit, a rebel. All in all, a very lovely place for those looking for quality dresses and that will last and last, regardless of the trends. :)
