  • Active Green and Ross did a decent job installing 4 new snow tires on rims and they do a free cursory inspection of the cars underbody equipment. Customer service was fair. Their prices (all their locations equal) were average and not the cheapest compared to some competitors. They offer "road hazard warranty" as does many larger tire installers, at a cost. I used them only because they had 4 tires in stock and there was a time sensitive rebate offer. What I can't understand is why a 1/2 hour job takes 2 1/2 hours to complete. Installing tires is not a difficult job and very predictable in terms of time taken. It wasn't just me. All customers were receiving the same level of service. They had 2 tire mechanics with 4 cars on the hoist. They overbook so there is no gaps in their producitvity and to compensate for a cancellation unreported. I can understand for a drop off, but not a sit and wait customer. I find this overbooking practice inexcuseable, or at least to this degree. So, I would recommend to drop off your car or book the first appoinment of the day or bring a couple newspapers. Caution - if you purchase the tires and install elsewhere it may affect your warranty if not an "approved" manufacturers installer. Check first if thats your preffered option.
