Tip: make an open table reservation!! But they don't allow you to get the points from 6-8
Super super underwhelmed with this place. I feel like just like most big name restaurants, you get good quality food served in a very unnatural and non palate pleasing manner.
Came here with a Groupon because I had always wanted to try it but the prices are quite pricey (entrees ranging from 30-65$)
Wanted to try and make a reservation for sitting by the window to enjoy the view, but was told that you need to spend 150$ per person to sit there: we had 4 people so they expected us to spend $600 which was ridiculous.
When we arrived we were sat in the back of the restaurant (probably due to the groupon) and had no view or was even close to the window.
TIP: When you check in- the whole table gets a free sparkling wine- they were serving proseco that night.
Food ordered was:
1) appetizers:
- orzo meatballs: $15 very bland meatballs that were covered in red tomato sauce- super underwhelming and not tasty- not recommended- 5 meatballs were served about 1 inch in diameter- not the meaty/veal/ground beef umami taste I expected- more like dry turkey meatballs and orzo
- eggplant Parmesan: $12- 2 very small slivers of eggplant broiled with scamorza cheese and covered in red sauce- not recommended
2) pasta sample platter (x2): a small small small portion of pasta- less than a small fistful of pasta 36$- me and my friend ordered one each so we could try them all
- lemon caper spaghetti- I personally hated it but my friend loved the fact that it was a new flavor combination and the zesty garlicky taste felt fresh and not heavy or expected- SUPPOSEDLY with shrimp but both mine and my friends order has no sign of shrimp in it
-bucatini: very spicy and more spice than taste- both of us disliked it- kinda mango spicy tangy
- rigatoni: vegetable bolognase- mine was personally had a burnt taste- overly roasted
- the last one was my personal fav: served with braised beef and basil- long noodles (don't remember the name)
3) branzino- served with olives and tomatoes- super crispy and white tender inside- Def recommend
4) Salmon- nothing special- served on top of a risotto or something- broiled- plain- no taste, was tender but def needed seasonings
Overall the food was subpar, service was great don't get me wrong, but I would never return or recommended this place to anyone.
