  • We usually use domestic air carriers to fly into or out of Las Vegas so I suspect that my review should be posted to Terminal 1. The airlines that we fly on are either United, Delta or Southwest. In general, McCarran International Airport is easy to get around because directional signage is everywhere. Once within the airport, you can pick up your boarding pass at kiosks of your airline, proceed through TSA or TSA Pre-Check and then hop onto a monorail train that will take you to your gate. Make sure you READ the signs to make sure you get on the correct train. Once you're in the terminal of your airline carrier, there are multiple stores that you can purchase that last minute gift at and dining options to choose from. Of course, if you're Las Vegas will keep your gambling bug alive with groups of slot machines to play while you wait for your flight. Arrival is a much easier process... all you need do is walk from your gate down to the designated monorail trains that will take you to the baggage area. Once there, locate your luggage carousel and wait for your luggage. There are slot machines in the baggage claim area, too! Plus, there are numerous billboards advertising the latest shows or attractions or dining spots in Las Vegas. You claim your luggage then proceed out to get transported to Las Vegas. Make sure you read the signs as there are pick up areas set aside for hotel shuttles, rental cars, ride shares, or taxis. If limousine service is there for you, make sure you look for your placard and your driver will direct you to the parking garage. Anyway, we are fans of this airport for its efficiency and constant upgrading. The staff at most ticket counters, TSA and shops are quite friendly and seem willing to help you get to where you need to be, on time!
