| - I find the evolution of Pearson to be absolutely fascinating. my first time coming to the airport was back in 1995, back with the designation of the old T1, T2(gone now) and T3 which was brand new at the time. I'm one of the only people I know from my generation who has flown extensively out of old T1, new T1, T2,T3, T3 satellite, and even getting to see all the runways, hangers, and the old T1 communications tower. present day we are stuck with New T1, and T3. my most recent visit to the airport brought me to T3, we were able to park very close to the airport, and take the sky-train over to T3, which was extremely convenient and very quick service. descending down from the T3 entrance, onto the departures section I couldn't help but notice all the tiny, tiny changes in the decade since my last flight out of T3, also didn't seem as bright as it was previously back ten years ago. we continued to descend down to the arrivals section to meet up with my "layover friends" I was very shocked to see that the arrivals section hasn't been changed since the first time I went to pick up someone back in 1995(hence the pre-story) its really sad in a way, the departures get all of the attention, but the arrivals get a time warp, and it really doesn't look good at all, not a good representation of "coming home" or "vacationing" almost to the point of feeling depression...sad to say but that's the emotion I was feeling while waiting for my friends to arrive.
T1 is absolutely gorgeous, built completely from the ground up, it features everything and anything you could want in a airport. lots to see and look at to occupy you're time while waiting(to leave, for someone to come...ALL THE WAITING!)
they really need to do some upgrades to T3 in general, and I say that with the upmost respect. I slowly understand why people chose YTZ(Island Airport) instead of YYZ(Pearson).
the WIFI is another point to bring up, its not very good at all, cutting in and out just from walking in ten foot sections.
