  • A friend invites me to go to his newly found bar. We agreed to go. We arrived at about 10 minutes to 7 and ordered a happy-hour beer which is two for one and two happy hour priced meals. Over a half hour later we get our food. It is moderately busy and takes me another half hour to get another beer. Took over an hour for our friends to get thier food. Food was so so at best. Time to leave. Surprise, no discount. Waitress claims we ordered at 7:01 so no discount. Total lie of course. Bill is $49. $10 high. My wife and I were looking for a new bar since we just moved back into the area. I'm good for $200 to $300 a week at my bar of choice. I have dozens of close friends and we meet at bars sometimes. Won't be meeting here. They chose to charge me an extra $10 rather than getting a $3,000 a year client. Worst part is the arrogance of the blonde waitress. Oh did I mention we also like to play video poker but of course we won't won't be playing there now. She really earned her $1 tip.
