| - One of the coolest local hangouts I've been to in Vegas and it's just blocks away from the Fremont Experience.
Literally, this place is constructed and architect with container trailers. Within the park it consists of shops, restaurants, a toy store, a planetarium, and even a wedding chapel. When I read its family friendly I was looking forward in visiting here, since there aren't many places for kids in Sin City.
There's a grass area there in front of the stage where live music is performed where kids can play. My son was building a fort with other kids using foamed Legos. While us parents are looking on, relaxing on love sofas. There's even a playground right down the middle of the courtyard and I believe there's a playhouse with slides attached to it that towers that spot, which looks fun, but a little overwhelming for smaller kids.
In addition, Container Park is trendy, its comparable to what I'm starting to see here in Southern Cali of outdoor hangouts. This place has restaurants and they serve some alcohol, so it's not entirely kiddy. I went into Pinches Tacos here for a frozen margarita, but their credit/debit machine was down. I settled for an Angry Orchard at Big Ern's BBQ to chill outside with live music playing, so it was a relaxing experience.
The Praying Mantis at the entrance way catches everyone's attention and it gets pretty intense when it periodically shoots out flames from its antennas.
I highly recommend this spot if you're looking to do away the hustle and bustle of touristy destinations.
