I've been wanting to try Vine for awhile, and now that we've moved to the South side of town I had my chance. The restaurant itself is very open and attractive. The booths are a bit on the small side when it comes to leg room, but overall comfortable. Our server was friendly and attentive. On a Sunday evening it was fairly empty, so you probably wouldn't need a reservation.
I ordered the ribeye with haricots verts and mashed potatoes. My husband had the roast chicken, macaroni and cheese, and a baked potato. His meal was definitely the better choice. The macaroni and cheese was served in a small skillet and the baked potato had a nice salt crust on the skin. My husband seemed to really enjoy everything, and from the bites I tried his was really tasty. My medium rare steak was overcooked and under-seasoned. I hate sending back something like that, but at nearly $30 I really wanted to get something I'd enjoy. Sadly the second time the steak was still not medium-rare but by then I was too hungry to complain, so I just ate it. As far as sides go the mashed potatoes were good but I'd skip the green beans, as they weren't anything special.
Overall I would return (specifically to try the Coconut Cake on the menu), but I wouldn't order the steak.
