  • Wow. This place was better than expected!!! Since I consider myself more of a connoisseur of "weird" foods as well as ethnic cuisines, I am not often excited by American concept foods. I do like uniqueness and thus upon buying a gift certificate to this place wanted to give "Twisted Farm Food" a try....and I'm VERY glad I did!!! First, I am a big atmosphere junkie and Hash House Delivered 5 stars in this category. I liked the contemporary, slightly country decor. I dined here around holiday time, so there was Xmas tree decorated and placed smack in the middle--which added more to the whimsical atmosphere and the modern touches to the place. I liked the huge, modern and slightly utility-like looking tables/chairs and silver metal touches. A++ for decor! Our appetizers were also rather delicious. Polenta and sirloin dish was extremely appetizing and flavorful! I'm craving it right now! Salad, however, was a bit overpriced and was the only item that was not large in size. I felt that lettuce was a bit wilted and flavors were not as full as they should have been. Very average at best for the salad. Of course we tried waffles and chicken for dinner!!! This dish was more fun then super delicious, however with the humongous portion sizes and many stalks of sage, I got to love this dish' homey flavors and how can you not like the "baked in bacon" in the huge waffle? Aroma around the place was delicious! Think bacon mixed with sage. Yum. (I liked how all dishes had a similar sage decoration, it was very weird, but in a good, unique way). Service was superb! Probably the best I've ever had. Not hovering over the table and interrupting, but being sweet and always quick with refills, recommendations and plate service. I will definitely be back to this place! I do suggest sharing meals, and even with the extra plate fee (often waived), you will leave filled and even have left overs!
