| - SCAM ALERT - we were walking by the Source Electronics kiosk, in the Planet Hollywood mall, when 'Joey' called us over to give a 'free' screen protector.
Well, he then brings up their wireless headphones and how awesome they are, etc. he then proceeds to throw in Solar Battery Chargers, Case Chargers as 'freebies' if we buy the headphones.
Long story short- the Solar Battery Chargers do not work, the Blue Tooth Headphones do not charge properly and the treble on them is terrible and, last but not least, the Case Chargers for our iPhone 6Plus are not compatible. We specifically asked 'Joey' if everything was iPhone compatible and he said Yes, they were all compatible with our iPhones which was a complete lie.
When I tried to return the products back they became defensive, at first, then agreed to swap out the Solar Battery Chargers, on the spot, but that I had to wait for them to send me the replacement Case Chargers.
Well, needless to say, after reading all the reviews here on Yelp, I went with my gut feeling and did not hand over any of the products as I knew that I would not receive any replacement products from them.
As I used my AMEX card I will now be contacting the American Express Fraud Dept and lodging a complaint against this company. And, I will be getting a full refund on this Scam Purchase.
I hope that this helps my fellow Yelpers from not being scammed, as I was. I really wished that I looked at Yelp before buying anything from these Con Artists, My Bad!
UPDATE: American Express has refunded my money after showing proof of goods returned. They investigated this company and found them to be less-than-honest, to say the least, so I encourage everyone who has been scammed by this company to take it up with their credit card company.
This company should be closed down, period. I am contemplating contacting Planet Hollywood to lodge a formal complaint against them.
I will update as this progresses forward.
