This place absolutely sucks. The scheduler is completely psychotic and dishonest. I had to reschedule the day-of because I was told the wrong location for medical and couldn't drive out that far during Vegas rush hour. I have a kid I have to be home with. Instead of just letting me know that its a $50 fee (which is ridiculous, btw) that I was willing to pay, she rudely told me that because my insurance doesn't allow them to charge fees, she would instead warn me to not do that again, that its hard getting people scheduled, so be mindful, otherwise I will no longer be able to schedule appointments with them again. And she said it in a teeth grinding manner.
Dude, it was my first call out due to a miscommunication. Sh** happens. But apparently not. The scheduler then proceeded to tell me that i 'have done this before'. I apparently did a no call/no show for a meds appointment on June 6th. I never had an appointment on June 6th. I tried explaining that to her approximately three times and she continually cut me off. One cutoff was her confirming my next two appointments. I said 'yes, of course I'll be there', then she cut me off again to tell me to 'just be mindful next time'. I complied and closed the call because I was being "mindful". Oh yeah, I even asked if she was the girl who works up front at the Horizon Ridge location, and she said 'no, she was the scheduler'. This is relevant later.
I then immediately went to old appointment reminder texts from HH to confirm if her accusations were true. Yeah, no reminder for June 6th, because it never happened. She just pulled a date out of her ass so that maybe she could have a reason to be nasty to me for a first offense (if that was one?), I guess.
Anyhow, if anyone needs therapy its certainly her. My advice to HH, if you hire admins, make sure they're somewhat compassionate and mindful. You know, since your clients are sensitive individuals seeking guidance for life problems. I've been in the administrative field for 20 years, that is NOT how you conduct yourself to clients and customers. Because of her conduct, I actually questioned my counselor and wondered if she was just as harsh and am now turned off by the idea of telling these people the most intimate parts of myself.
Now, let's move forward. Yesterday I arrived at one of the appointments I had confirmed with the lunatic scheduler. Now, I live far North. The Horizon office is in Henderson. When I got to the front desk, the office manager, Jill, assisted. She was totally confused as to why I was there. She said she didn't see an appointment for me. I said, 'nooooo, I have two appointments set. One for today and one for next Wednesday'. She looked at the calendar. Low and behold she noticed that my two appointments were canceled. The freaking psychopath not only flipped on me about cancelling a medical appointment, she also spitefully wiped all my future appointments out of the system.
I explained to Jill what happened and I kept trying to talk to the girl next to her, which was the girl who worked the front desk that I had mentioned earlier (this pudgy young Hispanic broad sporting nerd glasses). She said NOTHING to me. Absolutely nothing. I even asked her to confirm that I did set up those appointments with her specifically and she said not a word. I'm under the suspicion that she IS the scheduler. But, that's just an assumption.
Anyhow, Jill was very polite and said she will get the bottom of it. I have a feeling nothing is going to happen. I even mentioned the bad reviews on google and yelp and she didn't seem interested.
So, If something doesn't happen to this mystery scheduler, I'm going to be taking it to the higher ups, since this is the interwebz, their info is accessible to all. If you go on the HH website, you can see a list of lead executives with their emails. WRITE THEM. Tell them your story.
In the meantime, I've decided I'm not going to give them a penny of my money or allow my insurance company to do so. If this was a bank, an insurance company, a call center, whatever, I wouldn't care. But, this is a place where we go to share intimate things about ourselves. A place where we can be vulnerable without being persecuted. HH promotes a "caring, safe and comfortable environment". I wouldn't use any of those words to describe my experience there.
