I had the exact same experience as Svetla and also purchased on groupon. This was probably the worst customer service (and closest to a scam) I have ever experienced:
1. The company website has an online booking system. I am generally uncomfortable with this as I prefer to speak to a human being when I call a spa. But ok fine, it's 2014, I can understand a computer system. On the system I chose my time and the system described the time as 'requested'. I later logged back in and noted my appointment was now 'confirmed'.
2. Wanting to confirm that things were indeed a go, I attempted to call the number listed on the website. I waited on hold (a computer operating system said: 'appreciate patience' every 2-3 minutes) for 15 minutes before just giving up.
3. I arrived at Silk Medspa at the time of my confirmed appointment. There was nobody there. I waited in the waiting room and eventually the technician came out to greet me. When I told her my name she looked at her schedule and told me my name wasn't on it. When I explained my online booking she told me to 'call the receptionist'. Who or where this 'receptionist' is, I have no idea. The tech was unable to give me a number of who to call.
4. Eventually she called her manager (Daisy). Daisy offered no help whatsoever other than to tell me I was 'absolutely wrong'. After several minutes of heated discussion she eventually told me her secretary would call me back.
5. The secretary called, was completely useless and the entire time I could hear daisy in the back insulting me.
Anyway, fortunately groupon actually IS a legit company and returned my money.
What a horrible, disorganized company. Avoid Silk Med Spa at 600 Sherbourne!
