  • I had heard a lot about Toast from a friend and was excited to try it. Unfortunately, I was underwhelmed. I ordered fish over a bed of rice, and the rice was very dry - not Basmati try but dry to the point of being hard and undercooked. The rest of my food was average, but I think there are better restaurants in Pittsburgh at this price range. Where Toast shines is as a wine bar. The wine list is excellent and the atmosphere is intimate. Parties are seated close together, and if I were to give Toast another try, it would likely be on a date.
