| - This was my first time at this casino - I'm not a gambler, I mainly came here for the food on the 5th floor. I dined at the buffet Pavillion 67, which was delicious and truly gourmet btw (seperate review for that). I like hanging out in nice spots and enjoy reveling in festive settings. The newly renovated casino looks amazing! Beware of some of the older reviews on here, they really don't do this place justice.
Everything looks clean and modern, there's even a new carpet smell throughout. There are plenty of slot machines and many 1 cent games as well (a previous reviewer complained they were none) so I guess that's been added.
I loved the free self serve beverage stations, which was probably my favorite thing, as a non-player. Choose from 5 or 6 types of real fruit juices, soda, coffee, tea, milk, etc.
The bathrooms are beautiful, marble/stone type counter tops, toilet seat covers and tissue boxes available.
There's a bar located in the middle of the casino where you can pay for alcoholic drinks and a few comfy chairs/sofas to relax in.
There was a band playing on Friday night on the first floor along with costumed showgirl dancers- however the way the casino is designed, like a huge donut, you can see and hear the band even on the top floors, so it gets really loud.
The new "La Zone" part of the casino is a nice addition - it features an interactive gaming experience with live hosts that double as DJs, multi player games with a decor that's bound to drive up your excitement, complete with flashing lights and smoke explosions when a win occurs.
Right now, if you go on their website, they're offering a promotional 10$ credit for that zone.
I love how interactive the whole casino is- We were here on Valentine's weekend and they had a "kiss cam" going on, couples were given freebies. You also feel encouraged to take pictures with your smartphone as there are many "selfie" stations with background and hashtags to share on social media. The casino has contests where you can win prizes by uploading your photo on Instagram with the #zonecasino caption. I found this to be a very attractive way to draw in some younger people. There's less elderly folks at this casino compared to other places I've been to.
Even if you're not a player, come here for the restaurants, or just bask in other people's excitement.
Plenty of free indoor parking and very fast, effective wifi is a huge plus.
