rev:text	SOMETHING HAS CHANGED! I have been going to Vardhan for years with no complaints.....until yesterday. Earlier in the week I had taken a couch slip cover and cushions for an estimate on cleaning cost. The elderly gentleman gave me a quote and I said I would think about it. Thinking the quote was reasonable, I returned the next day to drop the cover off. This time, Eddie was there, as well, and appeared to be very busy and stressed as he was sorting through many bins of dirty laundry. Upon confirming the quote, of $17.00 with the elderly man, Eddie started speaking to him in his native language in a firm tone. I asked what he was saying and he stated that he told the older man not to give quotes out like that! Furthermore, Eddie REFUSED to honor the quote and said he could do it for $30.00 and it would take him weeks to have it done because he is so backed up with work. STUNNED, I calmly asked him if he would reconsider and perhaps meet me in the middle with the price. AGAIN HE REFUSED! So, I gathered my couch slip cover and walked out. I was in such disbelief of what just transpired, that I went back into the store to get clarification, from Eddie. Reiterating our conversation calmly to him, he then said that he would clean it for $25, however, it would take him weeks to return to me. I kindly thanked him and stated how sorry I am that his stress of the business has changed him. Eddie, I thought we were business friends. I then took my couch slip cover to Legend Cleaners, who accepted it with a smile, a fair price and done in a week.
