| - This is the worst hospital I've ever been to. Went to the ER tonight with painful, swollen neck and a bright red lump on the side of my throat and tender, hugely swollen lymph nodes. In the ER one nurse looked at my throat and felt my neck, then his shift ended and he left. I sat in a waiting area for three hours total, during which I heard the women working their use the word "retarded" as an insult multiple times. Got bloodwork done and was waiting in a public waiting area, never in a room, with the IV I needed hanging from a purse hook on the wall, for hours to get a CT. They almost discharged me before the CT that I needed, because a woman with the same last name as me was getting discharged. After that, another good amount of time passed and they somehow assumed I had already gotten my CT, a nurse came over to remove my IV and go over the final paperwork and I told her I had not even gotten my scan or been treated at all. Finally got my CT, then overheard a nurse calling the lab about my bloodwork which had been done at 11pm and it was now 2am and they were still waiting on my results. In the end they told me they did not know why my lymph nodes were so swollen and why I was in so much pain, and told me to make an appointment with a regular doctor. I repeated to the doctor who came out to see me for the first time in the last 30 seconds that I was in severe pain in my throat, neck and radiating into my ear, and I could FEEL my giant lymph nodes throbbing in pain. She took out her iPhone and shine the flashlight in my mouth for about two seconds, then told me I was discharged and to take Motrin for the pain. No answers, no treatment, practically no patient care at all. I would never ever go here again.
