| - Let me get straight to the point of this review: Runway sucks.
I think everyone agrees they like to be treated right when they stop by a store that they are about to drop some money in right? Well, just like Sonnya H. recently posted, I too went to Runway for my first and most definitely last time this past Saturday. A young girl who looked like she was still in middle school told me it would take 30-45 minutes to check out out my bags of clothes. I said, "Wow, you guys must be really busy" (even though there was hardly anyone there) and she said "Well, there's one person in front of you with a bag so....". OKAY. If it really takes you that long to check out someone's clothes don't you think you should get a second buyer to expedite that process? Being that I'm pretty chill I said I would come back in 30-45 and I did.
Well, guess what? When I came back in 45 minutes that same loser tween had the nerve to smile at me and say, "Oh, I haven't had a chance to look at your clothes yet because we've been so busy, is it okay if you wait another 15-20 minutes?" No, no it is not okay to make me wait all freakin' Saturday when you only had 1 person in front of me to begin with.
I decided to give them one last shot. I asked if anyone else could look at my clothes besides her and the girl she asked looked at me and had the audacity to say this:
"It'll be 15-20 minutes because even though we're all buyers, our priority is sales. And we've been busy at the registers so....."
Really??? Really????
Okay random airhead teen, let me tell you something about SALES. You can't make any sales if you treat the people who come into your store like shit. Customer or seller, doesn't matter. You can fake smile all day but all comes down to respecting people's time. Don't tell me to wait for 30 minutes and then double it just because you were busy. Do what you'll say you do. It's not a difficult concept to master, just common courtesy.
Runway is absolutely a waste of time. If you really have some clothes you want to sell try Buffalo Exchange in Tempe.
