  • Many of these reviews are spot on with my experience as well. I have been coming to this office for years now and have been beyond frustrated with the the decline in service over the last few years. About a year ago I went in for a regular check up and get new glasses. My appointment was on a Tuesday at 5:15 PM (they are open until 6:00 on Tuesdays). This meant I had to leave work thirty minutes early. I am a very patient person and understand when a doctor's office is busy, and they were definitely busy that night so I knew I would be waiting. I had no idea how long I was going to have to wait. Well, when I arrived (about 4:50 PM) I signed in. It was not until 5:50 that some decided to stop chatting with someone at the desk about anything but work and asks "Uhh... can I help you?". I told her I had signed in an hour previously because I had an appointment at 5:15. They had totally forgotten about me and ignored me for nearly an hour. Instead of apologizing, the front desk girl just said "Ok." At about 6:20, someone finally took me to the back office. There I waited for an optometrist for another 15 minutes. Again, I had been very patient knowing how busy they were. After seeing the doctor for the 5-10 minutes that it took for them to figure out my prescription, I was sent back to the front to pick out my frames. By this time it was almost 6:50. Again, I had to wait for someone to help me pick out my frames even though by this time, I was the last patient in the office. Finally I was done by 7:30. This year, when I went for my check up and get new glasses because I broke my last pair, it was a much slower afternoon so I was helped fairly quickly. However, before leaving the office, I heard one girl was on the phone with another patient who must have been very difficult. I could tell she was getting frustrated and impatient. I have to deal with irrational clients all the time so I understand getting frustrated. It didn't bother me, but I WAS bothered by the fact that after she hung up, her and the girl who was helping me talked about that patient being a pain right in front of me! I could not believe how unprofessional they were being by talking about a patient in front of another patient. To top if off, I was told 10-14 business days before my glasses were ready, and I would get a call to pick them up. It has now been 25 business days (mind you they are open Saturdays, and I did NOT include those in my count of the business days). I called yesterday and was on hold for 10 minutes before I was told "We have your box but we don't have your glasses. We are doing status checks and we will call you". I asked her when I could expect the call and was told by the end of the day or the following day. So today, when I didn't receive a call, I decided to call them. Again, I was placed on hold for 7 minutes and then told they needed to do a status check which would require an optometrist. I decided to stay on hold while they did this because I am tired of waiting and wanted an answer. After another 13 minute hold, the girl got back on the phone and apologized that she couldn't get someone to do the status check and they would have to call me. At this point, I got ticked. I feel bad for taking it out on the girl answering the phone as it was not solely her fault I have been getting the run around. They said I could expect a call Monday, so hopefully after being overly patient for over a month I will have an answer as to where my glasses are. I agree that the doctors deserve great review. The rest of the staff is another story. They are unprofessional and do not care to provide their patients with decent service. After I get my glasses, I do not plan on ever going back. It is time to find a new optometrist office.
