It's absolutely unforgivable that a guy who has won as many awards as this guy supposedly has would allow his food to be represented like this... because as others have said - there ain't no way this garbage BBQ has won any awards anywhere. You're left, then, to assume that the owner is too busy making good Q for competition to pay attention to his restaurant, because what else could account for the disconnect between the awards seen on Triple D and the abject crap I was served upon my visit?
There was nothing redeeming about this place that could make up for the indistinct mush that passed for smoked meat. Not the ridiculous decor, the wholly unremarkable sauce, the embarrassing side dishes or the rude service. In a last desperate attempt to find something worthwhile about this place, I ordered the eight dollar super-duper mac and cheese. After a brief exchange with the waitress during which she tried to convince me the order would be a mistake because it's made to order and you know, I guess it was like, really hard to make and stuff - I finally won the debate and was huffily rewarded with the information that it would take 30 minutes to come out. I held out. Eight bucks, right? It's gotta be better than sex. Yes, but only if sex were worse than dried out ziti covered in several indistinct burnt cheeses. I'd give them zero stars if I could.
